UCLA up on Oregon 37-24 at the half
UCLA fans must feel like they're watching a different team today in Eugene.
Two days after letting Oregon State shoot the lights out on Thursday in an 87-84 loss to the Beavers, UCLA clamped down on Oregon while taking a 13-point halftime lead.
The Bruins, who got off to a 13-4 lead to start the game, held the Ducks to 7-of-31 shooting in the first half - including 2-of-11 3-point shooting - while maintaining a 26-16 advantage on the glass.
UCLA had little trouble finding the basket, going 17-for-33 from the field but just 1-for-8 from the free-throw line. The Bruins had a balanced attack with four players over six points, including David and Travis Wear who paced the effort with eight points each.
E.J. Singler (1-for-6) and Devoe Joseph (2-for-8) each led Oregon with six points.

Basketball is two halves.
OUCH.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My head hurts. As it has all season. Football AND basketball. Thank God for Women's Volleyball.
How can we lose to Oregon State & Oregon? Just terrible to watch!
UCLA fans feels like they are watching the same team that played at OSU.
Ucla did what losers do: Lose
Today's game does not change my mind about Smith being a drag on the team. Jim Harrick said that you have to be able to play fast, medium and slow. With Smith in the game, UCLA can only play SLOW. Moreover, he can't defend or rebound.
Ten for twenty-one from the free throw line didn't help either. Those are girl's high school numbers.
and boom goes the dynamite.
I think Howland has one more year before people start (realistically) raising eye brows...
^clarification... 1 more year to turn it around
This has been a throwaway year, with Pauley under renovation. Next year's team needs to reach the Sweet 16 or Howland's in trouble.
CBH needs to unhitch his wagon from this version of Josh Smith. Next year Smith has to either be in shape at the beginning of the year or he's out. Stover and Lane need more minutes.
I enjoyed listening too Steve Kerr's comments on the UCLA program during the UCLA/Arizona game. UCLA should be an elite program, and shouldn't miss out on the talent pool coming out of Southern California.
