Making The Grade 2012: Quarterbacks
Prospects:
Rankings: 9/10 - Fuller is the No. 3-rated quarterback, but while Jim Mora really, really, REALLY insists he'll be at the position, I am a little skeptical. Most of his video is of him running the ball, and he's such a great candidate that I just wouldn't be surprised to see him in more of a hybrid role. As a quarterback prospect, Millweard might be even more intriguing, seeing as he's ranked No. 5 by ESPN and much lower by Scout and Rivals. Something's gotta be up.
Need: 10/10 - UCLA really needed a quarterback last season after the Brett Nottingham flip to Stanford in 2010 and got a great prospect in Brett Hundley. But as the Bruins learned the hard way in recent years, quarterback depth is at a premium. Adding two highly quarterbacks for 2012 was big for Noel Mazzone, and so was getting a jump on the Class of '13 with the verbal commitment Eddie Printz.
Instant Impact: 7/10 - With Kevin Prince, Richard Brehaut and Nick Crissman all gone after 2012, the Bruins were looking at a future of just Brett Hundley and Jerry Neuheisel, who also joins the program this year after greyshirting last season. Fuller and Millweard might both end up redshirting in 2012, but either could figure into the starting equation in 2013.
Overall Rating: 26/30

Nice breakdown!
Brehaut will likely not be in the QB mix. His real future is in baseball, not football. Coming in late, with a new offense to learn makes it doubly tough to compete for a playing spot against the assembled talent.
Michael Vick was a game changer for Coach Mora in Atlanta, so you'd better believe Mora is serious about Fuller as a game changing QB. The kid has an excellent arm to go with the football smarts and elite running ability. He will certainly get the shot to earn the spot.
Jon, I wasn't sure if you were grading the QBs on the roster in 2012 or just the recruiting class for 2012. This isn't clear by the title but that is what it looks like based on your twitter feed.
TJ Millweard is extremely overrated. His ESPN ranking is a great example of why ESPN recruiting services are seen as second rate.
Oh no, TJ Millweard is overrated because Rex Griswald, who sometimes posts on insidesocal.com/ucla, thinks he is overrated.
We're screwed...
Rex is correct, ESPN's rankings are clueless compared to Scout and Rivals. That doesnt mean Millweard isnt a good prospect, but they did rate him too high.
I don't get what's so confusing about Millweard being ranked much higher by one ranking service than the others. Newsflash: evaluating QBs is not an exact science. Opinions will vary. There's nothing to read into.
Rankings are now irrelevant. Now that he's signed the only thing that is relevant is how he performs on the field once he gets to Westwood.
I really don't care about Kevin Prince, Brehaut, Millweard or Fuller playing QB this year. If you want to see UCLA's future QB, then you'll want to watch Brett Hundley on film.
His HS Football footage is awesome. He looks like little Cam.
