wow. ricky NewHassle failed big time as coach, but no one has more class and poise. i have never seen an ousted coach sit there and talk to his successor on TV as he discusses his recruiting and the problems left behind by Neu. stunning. amazing. lets hire Neu as AD!!!!!!!

Chucker,,,agreed 100%..."CLASSY" all the way around. It also appears Jerry Neuheisel is just like his Father..and his effort and Loyalty have not gone unnoticed by Coach Mora.
Go Bruins!

I was expecting this to be awkward, but as you guys said, Rick was all class.

What class by Nue and Mora. Mora showed great class by giving Nue credit and setting the table. We need Rick somewhere in our program! Ucla is waking!!!

A rare day, this is!

Frolicking in their native habitat, Fred's handles are!

Much abuse on Wolf's blog, Fred has suffered.

Pondering the even greater suffering of Neuheisel provides solace, no doubt.

I've said it before, Rick Neuheisel is a Bruin through and through. His behavior reflects all the good things that go along with being a Bruin. It should be a lesson to us all. And being the kind of person he is, the lesson won't be lost on Coach Mora.

The class was with Mora being gracious. The table set was in disarray! A defense that cannot tackle, an offense that has to be junked, players that have not developed, QBs that cannot throw, a running back that cannot hang on to the ball, receivers who cannot catch, players that skip out on practice prior to bowl games, a revolving door of coaches, a dissapointed and cynical fan base, and an overweight and lethargic Josh Smith (somehow CRN has to be responsible). Mora was a gentleman but you know it was the coaching fraternity talking. As he said himself, if status quo were acceptable, the previous coach would still be there. We do not need CRN associated with the program. He is a poor coach, a poor evaluator of talent and a terrible administrator. We already have most of that in the AD now. Think of Dan as an overweight and less articulate Rick.

Riddance: There is no way that you can blame 350-pound Josh Smith squarely on CRN's thin shoulders. (Ohhhhh, you mean THAT Josh Smith).

So much easier to be smug and self-satisfied when you're only an anonymous poster on an internet bulletin board and not standing out in the open with your reputation turning on the effort and discipline of eighteen, nineteen and twenty year old kids and a group of coaches who, by definition, are just passing through. If what Mora was offering up was in fact coach-speak you can bet Neuheisel understood every word. Mora, a sub.500 ex-pro coach with no college coaching experience was saying I know exactly how you feel over there Rick, I've been there and we both know the likelihood is I'll be over there again before this is done. We can only hope he ain't over there too soon. Like to get a few good years out of him before he wears out his welcome. So it goes.

Who is being smug or self-satisfied? And how do you know that my parents (John and Louise Riddance)didn't have a sense of humor. I am not suggesting that posting on a blog is akin to coaching college ball. It sounds like you are already figuring that Mora will go the way of CRN. Nice. And Rick is so egocentric that he no way caught any of the coach-speak. Regardless of if Mora was your first choice, his first actions have been spot on in trying to get away from the failure (yes failure) of the former regimes. RN may be relentlessly positive but he is positively horrible as a coach. My disappointment is exacerbated by the fact that I expected so much more. If that makes me smug and self-satisfied, so be it.

Deepest condolences to John and Louise, I hope they lived long enough to see you out of the house. One can only imagine their shared burden. That Mora surrounded himself with great recruiters cannot be denied. Good for him. Now let's hope they can actually coach.

I will tell my parents hi at dinner. Also, as for the general sentiment of your last post, I could not agree more!
