AARON PORTER

LINEBACKER

School: La Habra

Ht./Wt.: 6-4.5/223

Inside: Rankings, Impact, Analysis, Video

Rankings: 22 - Rivals; 11 - Scout; 6 - ESPN

Why he'll help: The Bruins made a big push by staving off hard-charging Oklahoma for Porter's services. One of the best linebackers in the state, Porter has good size but could add some weight. Figures to compete for time by year two.

What they're saying: "Stop-gap as a run-stopper and he can cover. Another guy who has the ability to do both as a linebacker." - Brandon Huffman, Scout.com

What a motor on this kid.
He could become the jewel of this class.

Porter was the best player CRN got to commit last season. Good that Mora & Co. was able to hang onto him...

Kid looks like a beast. Two things I love seeing: He wraps up instead of always going for the big hit, and doesn't jump after a tackle and dance around. Make the tackle, get up, go back to work. Love it.
