can you ask Coach Mora and pass along response on blog, does he plan to have a “real game” spring scrimmage as typically occurs in the south or Texas, versus the non-game style employed by CRN? thanks Marko

  • Yo Jon, you got to start using embedded links, man! Now I have to find the source so I can re-post!

What are folks thoughts on having the game at the Rose Bowl rather than at Drake Stadium? I went to last year’s spring game on campus and had fun. I’m not too likely to go out to the Rose Bowl for this one unless I can plan more of my day around it. It’s a bit of a schlep from West LA to go to an intrasquad pratice.

MPP Bruin: My thought is that you should go to Drake Stadium and have fun again this year. The team won’t miss you. I travel 1000 miles every year for this and while they probably wouldn’t miss me either, at least I care enough to schlep the distance.

If you really want to know. But Jon’s good to us and copies the whole thing. We don’t want this to start looking like other Bruin sports sites.

Since May 5 is actually Alumni Day at Ucla, it sure would have been more fun to have the spring game on campus instead of the Rose Bowl and arrange the events to finish in time for the alumni to go to Drake Stadiu,. Maybe they thought that it would be too much, but knowing these guys, they probably didn’t even notice there was a conflict.

If I have to choose between UCLA Day and the Spring Game, I think that I’m heading to the Rose Bowl.

Tailgating before and on-field access after make it worth the trip.
