Stover to have shoulder surgery

UCLA rising redshirt junior center Anthony Stover (PS: “rising redshirt junior” means he’ll be a redshirt junior next season) will have surgery on Friday to repair his injured left shoulder, which he first injured in late October.

Stover played through the season with the injury, which was originally thought to be a dislocation but eventually was diagnosed a tear, and averaged 1.4 blocks in 8.4 minutes per game.

A big thanks to Anthony for his hard work this season. It showed. Good luck with this surgery, do your rehab and come back next year stronger and pain-free. Thanks.

Too bad. That will probably curtail his summer ball activities, which is what Stover desperately needs to develop some kind of offensive game.
