Banner seasons ahead?

UCLA is one of just three schools to be ranked in the top-12 in both football and basketball recruiting for the 2012 classes.

The Bruins ranked 12th nationally in football and the commitment of Tony Parker to the basketball team today solidifies the Bruins in the top-two nationally in basketball.

Only Texas (No. 1 in football, No. 6 in hoops) and Michigan (No. 4 in football, No. 9 in hoops) are also in the top-12 in both.

is 2012 going to be the year of the Bruins?…I am really trying not get too excited but it’s getting harder and harder with the class of recruits we are having…

  • Chris

Yes, but we need to give the current staff time to recruit and to grow those recruits. Mora and staff are playing with Ricks recruits. While some might be good, they were considered for different systems. So, let’s not expect the world this season. Let’s expect to see a well disapline, hard working football team that has some pride. The talent is coming. GO BRUINS!

I expect us to win the conference. We’ve clearly improved more than any other team in the Pac-12 and we weren’t that far off last year.

Thats just the recruiting landscape. Happens at tons of schools. Doesn’t mean they always deliver the goods though.

Doesn’t our baseball team also have a top 12 class ?
