Ceachir honored by SMCC

UCLA offensive lineman Alexandru Ceachir, who should be competing for a spot high in the depth chart this season, was honored with the Football Student-Athlete of the Year Award by Santa Monica City College.

Pretty cool story, as Ceachir has only been playing football less than five years and moved from Moldova to continue his career.

    cmon, it is clear this isn’t Jon’s dream job, but he’s still a human. How many of us perform like we want Jon to do at our respective jobs? Infuse a little reality into the thought process by looking at yourself covering usc or auburn … their lame fans would probably hang each of us in effigy daily. And there would be no wedding left unturned … uh, unattended.
