If you want to relive that victory …

Here’s the running score summary from UCLA’s 38-28 win over USC:

UCLA 38, USC 28 – 4:02 remaining in fourth quarter:
Johnathan Franklin with an absolute dagger of a touchdown, taking it 29 yards to the right corner of the end zone as the Rose Bowl erupts. The Mayor now has 162 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Drew a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, but certainly worth the celebration for him as well as UCLA fans.

UCLA 31, USC 28 – 7:22 remaining fourth quarter:
The Trojans’ comeback continues, slowly but surely. Feels like forever ago that UCLA led this game 24-0. Matt Barkley, who now has a career-high 15 interceptions on the season, threw a 14-yard scoring strike to Marqise Lee. USC then lined up for a two-point conversion, which led to a fantastic catch by wide receiver Robert Woods – who drew a pass interference flag as he tiptoed at the back of the end zone.

UCLA 31, USC 20 – 9:57 remaining in third quarter:
The Bruins lead by two scores again after a short run by Brett Hundley. All credit for that touchdown goes to the defense. Anthony Barr ended up tipping a Matt Barkley pass after the quarterback was swarmed in the backfield, and Eric Kendricks followed up by blocking Kyle Negrete’s punt. UCLA only had to go 33 yards to score, a drive helped by Dion Bailey trying to go for an interception instead of simply defending a pass. Result was a 25-yard completion to Shaq Evans that shouldn’t have been.

UCLA 24, USC 20 – 13:53 remaining in third quarter:
USC should credit that touchdown to rain.
What’s been an odd game so far just got wackier. As the weather soured at the Rose Bowl, UCLA’s opening drive of the second half ended after three plays. A bad snap led to a mishandled handoff to Johnathan Franklin, which then led to the ball bouncing back into the end zone. George Uko finally ends up jumping on it for six points. Fumble is credited as a team loss of 20 yards. The PAT failed, probably not helped by the rain.

UCLA 24, USC 14 – 1:07 remaining in second quarter:
Matt Barkley throws an easy 2-yard touchdown to Randall Telfer, capping USC’s steadiest drive of the day. The Trojans offense looks like a completely different entity on its past two drives.
UCLA’s defense is softening up, with USC receiver Marqise Lee drawing his second pass interference penalty today to help along a drive that had plays of 8, 11, 9, 8 and 15 yards. Barkley, who didn’t have a completion until 13:30 of the first quarter had elapsed, is now 9 of 15 with 135 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

UCLA 24, USC 7 – 5:58 remaining, second quarter:
The Trojans finally get on the board, helped by Matt Barkley finally targeting Robert Woods for the first time today. The four-play, 75-yard drive was bookended by Woods’ 31-yard grab and Nelson Agholor’s 33-yard touchdown. There was nothing but open field in front of Agholor, so somewhat of a letdown by the UCLA secondary there.

UCLA 24, USC 0 – 7:38 remaining in second quarter:
The Trojans’ defense is completely hapless right now. Johnathan Franklin spent that drive either shaking defenders or bowling right through them. The UCLA career rushing leader’s easiest run of the 74-yard drive came on the capper, a 16-yarder into the end zone. Hard to see how USC comes back from this kind of deficit. This isn’t quite as dominant as the Bruins’ performance against Arizona, but it’s certainly an even more important showing. Lane Kiffin’s seat warmed up about 25 degrees Celsius today, and it’s not even halftime.

UCLA 17, USC 0 – 1:34 remaining in first quarter:
The Trojans look like they really don’t want to win this game. Marqise Lee fumbles for USC’s second turnover of the game, and UCLA wastes no time in scoring on a 17-yard strike to Joseph Fauria on a corner route. Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley is now 12 of 14 for 93 yards and a touchdown, along with his earlier running score. USC’s defense hasn’t looked this helpless since it played Oregon. Its offense … it’s been a long time since the Trojans’ offense has given the ball away so willingly.

UCLA 10, USC 0 – 4:35 first quarter:
A brilliant, 84-yard drive by the Bruins ends with a 23-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn. Brett Hundley showed great poise escaping pressure and moving in the pocket, and completed a 21-yard pass when backed up 4th-and-13 on the USC 30-yard line. Johnathan Franklin’s 8-yard run put it on the 1-yard line, but a bad false start by offensive lineman Jeff Baca and an overthrown pass in the end zone leaves UCLA settling for three points.

UCLA 7, USC 0 – 13:39 remaining in first quarter:
That didn’t take long. USC quarterback Matt Barkley threw his 14th interception of the season on his very first snap, matching his freshman total. Intended for a double-covered Marqise Lee, UCLA cornerback Aaron Hester took the gift-wrapped ball to set up a five-play, 17-yard drive. Brett Hundley kept the ball for a 1-yard touchdown, fooling the Trojans defense with a nicely executed fake handoff to Johnathan Franklin.
