Travis Wear ‘probable’ against Arizona

UCLA forward Travis Wear is probable to play against Arizona Saturday at 6 p.m., coach Ben Howland said in a conference call Friday afternoon. Wear has missed the past two games with a sprained ligament in his right foot. If Wear is ready to play, he will start the game; Howland doesn’t want to risk the 6-foot-10 junior tightening up should he sit too long on the bench after warm-ups.

Freshman Shabazz Muhammad sprained his ankle in the first half of Wednesday night’s win over Arizona State, but participated “gingerly” in Friday’s walkthrough and will play against the Wildcats.
