Shabazz, in my opinion, is like the bad Kobe every time out there. You know, the Kobe who forces the action, shooting over double teams, not trusting his teammates, rarely passing the ball once he touches it.

He certainly could, IMO, use another year of college ball to get better. I know that is very unlikely; everyone else seems to say he is amazing.

I guess my question is, does Shabazz realize that he is like the bad Kobe?

Kobe doesn’t realize he’s bad Kobe; though since the Lakers began this winning trend (not “streak”), a growing realization that the team might be better when he plays as if they’re on the court must be gnawing at him.

Is Howland out with a first or second round loss? Would Billy Donovan be interested in being our coach?

    • Mark

      Billy Donovan wouldn’t come here.

Thanks Mark for your opinion. Still interested to seeing what Jack has to say.

What’s Minnesota’s style of play and how well do we matchup with them?

  • Marc

Got another quick one for ya:

What is up with the national media being so hard on the PAC-12? They sound like the guys at BN. Five teams in the NCAA tourney (a few under seeded as well) and three more in the NIT (ASU, Wash & Stanford). That is quite a few post season participants; more than most other conferences.

The issue I see is that the conference won’t do well in the NCAA’s (more due to seeding than talent/coaching) and the media will toot their collective horn that they were right about the PAC-12. It’s a shame.

    • Mark

Or it Could be that the teams just aren’t that good. But the collective showing in the tourney will tell the story.

What is your take on Chancellor Block? Does he shun the lime light in attending athletic events and actually has a good handle on what Morgan Center is doing, or does he have no interest UCLA athletics other than making sure that a clean program is run?

Jack’s only covered Ucla for about 5 minutes. How would he possibly be able to give a real answer to this question.

  • Bobby Smith

Ucla had attempted to get Mark Few a while back. Why is his name not popping up again?
It seems like it is 80/20 that Parker leaves after this season… With our lack of size why isn’t there a big man being recruited heavily? Is Powell a transfer risk?

    • Mark

Who says Few’s Name isnt popping up? He’s at the top of everyone’s list, including Ucla. Getting him is a different story…

How many years of eligibility does Malcolm Jones have? Does he get last year back since he only played in one game?
