VIDEO: Jim Mora looking forward to Oregon trip

Despite his team’s myriad injuries, UCLA coach Jim Mora was downright chirpy Tuesday afternoon. Unsurprisingly, he talked about Saturday’s trip to No. 2 Oregon being a prime, competitive opportunity, one the Bruins — coming off their first loss — are eagerly awaiting.

“We couldn’t write a better script for us,” Mora said. “Coming off a really tough loss to Stanford, getting a chance to go up to Autzen and playing against this group, it keeps you focused. That’s for sure.”

As usual, Mora emphasized UCLA’s desire to prepare for every game the same way and building a consistent mindset — something that may still need a little fine-tuning.

“We’re growing it,” he said. “It’s just not in bloom yet.”
