Senior Damien Thigpen had his best game yet since coming back from a torn ACL, leading UCLA running backs with 38 yards. He took one of his four carries into the end zone, and another 27 yards up the middle to set up a score for receiver Devin Fuller.

“I looked at myself (on film), I think it was Thursday,” he said. “I saw myself make a little move, and I was like ‘Y’know, that looked kinda good.’ I looked kinda like my old self. I’m definitely much improved than I was weeks ago. It’s really a great feeling.”

Head coach Jim Mora said Thigpen made another cut on a kick return this week that got teammates cheering in the film room.
