Do you think now that Polamalu has been added to our staff. And that Klemm is reportedly staying even though USC offered an enormous amount of cash to lure him away, that we arguably have one of the best coaching staffs and recruiting staffs in the entire country? Feels like this program is scorching right now doesn’t it? Your thoughts on the Sark hire?

What is the deadline for underclassman to declare for the NFL draft, and what is your opinion as to whether Sua Filo or Hundley will do so?

Do you think your system admin can install plugin to this blog so that readers can have a choice to mute comments from trolls?

You can flag them but the admin doesn’t actually do anything of weight.

Can you give us a comparison of Hundley and Woulard? Where are their games similar? Who has a better arm? Obviously Hundley has a ton more experience but would you say Woulard’s close to ready to take over in case Hundley leaves next year?

  • BruinInSeattle

Is there any substance to the rumors of Petersen to UW? That would be a poetic rebuke to SC …and add another great coach to the Pac12.

  • BruinInSeattle

Aside from his recruiting acumen, is Polamalu a good coach? Will Foster feel snubbed?

  • BruinInSeattle

Is it true one of Mora’s requests was an on-campus stadium that could also house the baseball team and GrrrError acquiesed with the help of Governor Brown?

    • Mark

No of course it’s not. But you knew that already.

      • BruinInSeattle

yes…yes i did…but im trolling the stadium question…keeping the impossibility of it in people’s minds…but, you probably already knew that, too…

  • BruinInSeattle

what percentage chance Hundley comes back next year? that Mixon comes to UCLA? Finally, if Mixon DOESNT come to UCLA, does Polamalu get fired?

What’s your feeling on the name Kabam Field @ California Memorial Stadium? Founders are Cal grads but interesting name…

  • EncinitasBruin

News on Klemm? Worst secret in town is that Sark is chucking a lot of money at him to bring him over as a Trojan assistant…

  • Jonathan Taylor

As i’ve reviewed Bretts game tape.. I can say if he leaves right now.. It all depends on who declares and doesn’t declare, I see him as a late 4th or 5th round pick he could go 3rd round, if Minn or the Jags aren’t interested with him.. Because right now he’s RAW according to the NFL. Very high ceiling, but he doesn’t protect the ball, does not taking the time to complete his reads, misses his check downs, takes his eyes from down field when he feels pressure, takes WAY TOO many hits, has tendency a freshman QB at times either take too long to run or takes off too fast to allow the routes to complete.

So he wouldn’t be a starter for anyone, besides Minnesota or maybe the Jags. He’s consider a project.. Because of his upside, can make ALL the throws, stands tall in the pocket when he does, good mechanic, NFL body, extend plays with his legs, CAN throw in wind(Drives the ball), beautiful deep ball, very accurate down the field.

But what hurts him. Doesn’t run an NFL style offense, doesn’t call his protections or audibles, doesn’t take what it given too him by the D to extend drives, *game speeds up on him in big games.

Now I will say play calling REALLY hampered him, just like Johnathan Franklin last year, but when it was his time to make a plays unlike J.F. he didn’t show up.

If he was smart, he would wait till next year to leave for more money and if he’s in the Heisman talks he will be a First rounder easy…. Far too many QB’s coming out this year.

    • Oz

If he stays, he still wouldn’t be running a pro-style offense, so how would it benefit him to come back. Why not leave & start learning an NFL offense a year early. He would be considered a 1st round project, there is no way, with all positives you’ve stated about his game, would he fall to the 4th/5th round of the draft. And Heisman hype doesn’t change how scouts watch game tape.

    • Jack Wang

I’m not sure if there’s a question here … but there’s no way Hundley falls to the fourth or fifth round. The upside is too high, and even a team that’s set at QB will grab and stash him.

Consider the 2012 draft, when a 28-year-old Brandon Weeden made it into the first round. Even Brock Osweiler didn’t slip past the second.

  • Vinicius Carvalhosa

do you think UCLA is way favorite in the Pac-12 south if Hundley and the coaching staff stays?

    • Jonathan Taylor

Yes, because ASU will lose 70% of their starters on both sides of the ball, they have a lot of seniors, but Kelly will be back as a senior, so they’ll have a leader at QB will keep them in contention. I do think the D will take a big hit with Sutton and the LB’s at the end of this year. Plus UCLA ante up so I don’t see them losing anyone on the Coaching staff.

  • Marc

Which result is better for UCLA with regards to bowl game pick; ASU or Stanford win?

  • foodBruin

    Jack,
    give us your honest preference:
baked cha siu bao or pork siu mai.

    • Mark

      Everyone preferes cha siu bao

  • CaliGrown

What are our chances with newly offered QB Luke Rubenzer? I just seen his tape and he looks like a legit sleeper, reminds me of Taylor Martinez

  • anno nimus

I thought the questions were for Jack to answer!!!

  • john

What happened with Klemm and Mora? How deep were discussions with UW and USC?

  • NonAlumBruin

What was UCLA’s fan attendance at last week’s game? All I could see was USC color in the stands.

  • BruinInSeattle

how much of a smack in the face was it for Petersen to go to UW and not SC, and how ironic is it that he never COULD have gone to UW if SC hadn’t pulled the mediocre coach out of there already? …okay, it’s rhetorical…but answer if you wish. I’m loving it.
