Jim Mora reels off ‘insane’ 40-yard dash times after UCLA pro day

)

According to the UCLA head coach Jim Mora, these were the 40-yard dashes his players clocked during Tuesday’s on-campus pro day:

LB Anthony Barr, 4.45 (official combine time 4.66)
WR Shaq Evans, 4.32 (4.51)
DE Cassius Marsh, 4.68 (4.89)
LB Jordan Zumwalt, 4.61 (4.76)
RB Damien Thigpen, 4.36
S Stan McKay, 4.38
RB Malcolm Jones, 4.57
DB Brandon Sermons, 4.39
OL Xavier Su’a-Filo, 4.88
DE Keenan Graham, 4.66
DL Seali’i Epenesa, 5.16

A pair of 2013 prospects also returned to work out …
Aaron Hester, 4.37
Jerry Johnson, 4.31

Assuming those are accurate, six players — including two who have been out of competitive football for a year — clocked sub-4.40 times at Spaulding Field. As a reference point, there were just seven sub-4.40 times at the NFL combine last month.

“People are going to hear that and go, ‘That’s insane. You don’t have that many fast guys,'” Mora said. “But once again, these are electronic times. If I were out there scouting, I’d be like, ‘Ehh, I don’t know about that.’ But once again, those are pretty true times.”

OK, then.
