UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, two days after his 351-yard, three-touchdown career debut.
Rosen, who was the first true freshman to ever start a season opener at quarterback for the Bruins, helped the team to a 34-16 win over Virginia. He had also been named the national offensive player of the week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Utah’s Justin Thomas earned the conference’s top defensive honors in Week 1, while Washington’s Dante Pettis got the nod on special teams.
