UCLA coach Jim Mora again denies having interest in the NFL

Jim Mora’s name is always going to be popular when coaching jobs open. Sometimes, he’ll come up even if there isn’t a specific connection.

On Sunday, NFL Networks’ Ian Rapaport named the fourth-year UCLA head coach among those who would be open to a move from college to the pros.

Two days later, Mora — who spent more than two decades in the NFL before arriving at UCLA — dismissed the report on the Rich Eisen Show.

“I don’t know where Ian got his information,” he said. “I haven’t talked to Ian. You know how those guys are. Sometimes they just make stuff up, throw it out there, and see if it sticks.

“I’m just trying to beat Colorado. … Eyes on the prize. The prize is 12:07 kickoff, Saturday, try to win that game. That’s all I’m thinking about.”
