USC 40, UCLA 21: Receiver Thomas Duarte

Thomas Duarte said the main cause of UCLA’s 41-20 loss to USC on Saturday was lack of execution. However, the junior receiver also said that the team wasn’t prepared for the Trojans’ man defense, leading to a 19-of-37, two-interception outing for freshman quarterback Josh Rosen.

“It kind of confused him, I think,” Duarte said. “They brought different pressures. They did stuff we weren’t really ready for. His rhythm was a little off today.”
