UCLA guard Prince Ali day to day with bone bruise on left knee

UCLA guard Prince Ali is day to day after suffering a bone bruise on his left knee against Gonzaga on Saturday, and will not play tonight against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Ali is averaging 13.1 minutes off the bench for the No. 22 Bruins, scoring 5.8 points per game to go with 1.4 rebounds. His absence likely means more minutes for 6-foot-10 forward Jonah Bolden, who had his first career double-double against the Bulldogs.

Center Thomas Welsh will also be sidelined against the Ragin’ Cajuns due to a stomach virus.

Forward Gyorgy Goloman has yet to play this season due to a stress fracture in his leg, and is expected to be out for at least three more weeks.
