UCLA to open 2016 Pac-12 schedule against Stanford

The Pac-12 finalized the 2016 football schedule on Tuesday, handing UCLA what could be a very tough September.

The Bruins will begin conference play on Sept. 24 against Stanford, which has won eight straight games in the series. Jim Mora has coached in the last five, the most recent one being a 56-35 blowout at Stanford Stadium. That game will follow a challenging nonconference schedule that starts with Texas A&M and ends with BYU.

The Cardinal, however, will be breaking in a new quarterback after losing three-year starter Kevin Hogan.

UCLA has back-to-back road trips to Arizona State and Washington in October, then hosts Utah before a bye week. The team’s only weekday game of the season is a Thursday night kickoff against Colorado on Nov. 3.

The Bruins’ will host USC on Nov. 19 before closing the regular season with a trip to Cal on Nov. 26.
