Notes and observations from the last (!) practice of training camp:

  • Super short practice today. It was only about 70 minutes in shells and shorts before players and coaches signed autographs for fans at the fan appreciation event.
  • Because this was the last practice of training camp and the team starts “game week” schedule Monday in Westwood, this will be the last official practice report as the remaining practices will be closed.
  • For someone who usually excels in front of a crowd, Josh Rosen didn’t have his sharpest day of practice. He missed a few throws during 11-on-11, including one he threw a little too high to Eldridge Massington on his first drive. The defensive line also got some good pressure on him, so that likely also played a role.
  • Keisean Lucier-South batted a Rosen pass down at the line of scrimmage.
  • Ishmael Adams caught a long pass from Rosen near the sideline that was probably one of the more notable plays for the offense on the day. Randall Goforth was late on the coverage coming over from his safety position.
  • Jaleel Wadood came up with an interception on a tipped ball from Rosen in the red zone.
  • Damian Alloway had a strong finish to his first training camp. He caught a touchdown pass from Mike Fafaul during 11-on-11.
  • Matt Lynch nearly threw three interceptions on three consecutive plays during his team period drive, but each time the defender couldn’t quite reel in the pass. First it was Denzel Fisher, who was defending Adams, then Lokeni Toailoa dropped a pick, then it was Will Lockett. He finished his drive with a touchdown to Audie Omotosho.
  • J.J. Molson hit all three of his field goals (20, 25 and 25 yards). Andrew Strauch was good from 20 and 35, but missed from 25.
