Jacob Tuioti-Mariner avoided surgery during the summer to treat his appendicitis and the Bruins are sure happy he did because it seems like everyone else on the defensive line is hurt now. With the injuries mounting, Tuioti-Mariner’s ability to fit into any position on the line makes him a valuable player for UCLA right now.

- Eddie Vanderdoes (knee) practiced on the sideline doing individual conditioning drills during the first portion of practice that was open to media.
- Takkarist McKinley (groin) walked out of practice early, but it did not look like he was on the side to start.
- Paco Perez, Marcus Moore and Dymond Lee were all on the side.
- Boss Tagaloa was seen leaving practice on a golf cart with an apparent right ankle injury. He was using crutches after practice with his ankle wrapped. Await the formal update tomorrow when Mora speaks to reporters.
