Someone asked me at the beginning of the season in our first weekly Q&A if there was a “nightmare scenario where a season-ending injury to a single player” would torpedo UCLA’s chances of a successful season. I answered Josh Rosen.

The Bruins ARE NOT in that particular nightmare scenario after Rosen walked off the field with what looked like a right arm injury, but the quarterback’s status is still in question for this Saturday’s game against Washington State.

Head coach Jim Mora said he is hopeful that Rosen will play, but then again, he says that about everyone. Mora said Rosen’s competitive nature willed him back on the field Saturday even though he was hurting and the head coach wouldn’t be surprised if Rosen tried to will himself onto the field Saturday night at Martin Stadium.
