Mike Fafaul has a poster of Tom Brady on his wall and UCLA’s backup quarterback might have to channel his inner Brady this weekend if Josh Rosen can’t go on Saturday.

Rosen’s status is still unclear for this Saturday after his second straight day of limited practice, but the Bruins are confident in backup Mike Fafaul, despite the redshirt senior’s rough go of things last week.

Personnel notes:

  • Rosen was again on the sideline at the beginning of practice doing individual conditioning. He was seen hanging around the offense during practice, not taking reps, but speaking to coaches and watching practice closely.
  • Also of note on the sideline was DB Nate Meadors. Meadors did not play last Saturday, and Mora said Wednesday that the cornerback got hurt during pregame. Randall Goforth got the start at corner against ASU after learning about 15 minutes prior to gametime that he would be needed there.
  • WR Ishmael Adams was in a red no contact jersey again Wednesday.
