Perhaps UCLA head coach Steve Alford wasn’t just offering lip service when he said Oregon is still the favorite to win the Pac-12 conference.

The Ducks ended UCLA’s undefeated season on Wednesday with a last-second 3-pointer from Dillon Brooks and now the Bruins are trying to bounce back against Oregon State on Friday at 8 p.m. in Corvallis, Ore.

UCLA (13-1, 0-1 Pac-12) almost pulled off the comeback victory against Oregon with a 15-0 run midway through the second half, but the Ducks rallied behind Payton Pritchard (23 points, nine rebounds) to push their home winning streak to 34 games.

Oregon State (4-10, 0-1 Pac-12) challenged undefeated USC in its Pac-12 opener before losing 70-63, the Beavers’ sixth loss in their past seven games. Tres Tinkle leads the Beavers in scoring with 20.2 points, but is still out with a broken wrist.
