UCLA has already reeled in several big-named recruits during January and have one week left to round out its recruiting class before National Signing Day.

As of Jan. 25, the Bruins had 19 verbal commits, four offensive linemen and no receivers. One of those linemen may be wavering also.

Here’s a look at UCLA’s recruiting situation, from the solid verbal commits to the commits who are still searching to some of the coaching staff’s remaining targets:

SOLID VERBAL COMMITS:

  • DE Jaelan Phillips, Redlands East Valley — The five-star defensive end enrolled early and has never wavered from the UCLA pledge he made in April 2016.
  • TE Jimmy Jaggers, Roseville — The four-star tight end has already enrolled at UCLA.
  • DB Darnay Holmes, Calabasas — One of the biggest victories of defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin’s recruiting campaign this season enrolled early.
  • OL Kanan Ray, Sierra Canyon — UCLA’s longest-held verbal commit is the three-star U.S. Army All-American.
  • LB Rahyme Johnson, Salesian — Linebackers coach Scott White never backed down from recruiting Johnson after the four-star prospect decommitted from UCLA in May and the Bruins were rewarded when Johnson recommitted in January.
  • DT Martin Andrus, Los Angeles Senior — Andrus announced his verbal commitment to UCLA alongside Johnson in with an “Old School” shout out.
  • DB Jaylan Shaw, Corona Centennial — The three-star defensive back committed to UCLA in August over Colorado, USC and Washington State.
  • DB Quentin Lake, Mater Dei — A UCLA legacy, Lake’s father Carnell was an All-American linebacker for the Bruins in the late ‘80s.
  • QB Austin Burton, West Orange (Fla.) — UCLA’s first quarterback commit in this class is a three-star prospect former quarterbacks coach Marques Tuiasosopo flipped from Boston College.
  • DT Greg Rogers, Arbor View (Nev.) — The four-star recruit spurned offers from USC, Arizona State, Colorado and Oklahoma.
  • TE Moses Robinson-Carr, Antelope Valley — Robinson-Carr flipped from Oregon after the Ducks coaching staff turned over.
  • DE Odua Isibor, St. Mary’s (Ariz.) — Isibor was the first player in his high school’s history to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game
  • DB Morrell Osling, Antelope Valley — Osling flipped from Colorado and announced his commitment to UCLA only three days after high-school teammate Robinson-Carr.
  • OL Zachary Sweeney — The three-star offensive lineman announced his commitment the same day UCLA officially hired new offensive line coach Hank Fraley.
  • DB Elijah Gates, Buena Park — Another local product reeled in by Martin, Gates picked the Bruins over Oregon.
  • OL Jax Wacaser, Saguaro (Ariz.) — Wacaser grew two inches and added 30 pounds between his junior and senior years and is up to about 6-foot-5, 260 pounds.
  • QB Nick Juels, Grace Brethren — The local two-star prospect will likely take a walk-on position with the Bruins.
  • OL Zach Cochrun, San Clemente — The 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive linemen accepted a preferred walk-on position. (Updated Jan. 26)
  • DB Shea Pitts, Oaks Christian — The son of former UCLA defensive back Ron Pitts accepted a preferred walk-on position. (Updated Jan. 28)
  • OL Sean Seawards, Suguaro (Ariz.) — Seawards committed to UCLA one day before Signing Day. He got late interest from hometown school Arizona State, but settled on UCLA, where he will join high-school teammate Wacaser. The Bruins gave Seawards his first Pac-12 offer and flipped him from Boise State. (Updated Jan. 31)

SOFTER VERBAL COMMITS

  • OL Jaxson Kirkland, Jesuit (Ore.) (Updated Jan. 26: Kirkland announced decommitment) — Some late attention from big schools have Kirkland still exploring his options. Although he’s still committed to UCLA, he recently picked up an in-state offer from Oregon and an offer from his dad’s alma mater Washington. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle went on an official visit to Oregon this week. He’s expected to visit UCLA this weekend.
  • DE Cassius Peat, Pima College (Ariz.) — Peat committed to UCLA in September, but took an official visit to Michigan State, his first school, in December. Peat left Michigan State after his redshirt year to deal with personal issues at home in Arizona where his grandmother was battling cancer, according to the Arizona Republic.

REMAINING TARGETS:

Receivers:

  • WR Deandre McNeal, Fullerton College — McNeal has been on UCLA’s radar since his high school days, but the Texas native decided to stay close to home, signing with the Longhorns. After two years in Austin, McNeal was suspended indefinitely by then-head coach Charlie Strong, then transferred. He’s taking an official visit to Florida Atlantic this weekend, but is expected to sign with the Bruins.
  • WR Michael Harley, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) — New offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is trying to make his mark for the Bruins in south Florida. He successfully pulled in Sweeney and now Fisch is making a run at Sweeney’s high-school teammate Harley. Harley, a one-time West Virginia commit and U.S. Army All-American, is expected to take a visit to UCLA this weekend, but is also very high on Miami (Fla.).
  • WR Ty Jones, Provo (Utah) — The Washington commit popped into Westwood for an official visit the weekend before Signing Day, but is still likely to stick with this UW pledge. He’s a four-star U.S. Army All-American. (Updated Jan. 30)

Defensive backs:

  • DB Chaz Ah You, Timpview (Utah) — Fresh off the Polynesian Bowl, Ah You is expected to announce his commitment soon. He’s juggling between BYU, UCLA, Washington and Stanford, but is said to be leaning toward staying home with BYU.
  • DB Branden Smith, Paraclete — Smith visited UCLA two weeks ago then traveled to BYU the weekend after. He told Scout after his visit to Provo that he hadn’t spoken to UCLA in a while as the coaching staff worked out the scholarship numbers. He’s planning to announce his decision on Signing Day.
  • DB Evan Fields, Midwest City (Okla.) (Updated Jan. 30: Fields committed to Arizona State) — The four-star defensive back will announce his decision on Jan. 30 with his top six narrowed down to UCLA, Arizona State, Kansas State, TCU, Notre Dame and Oregon. He visited UCLA two weeks ago.

Offensive linemen:

  • OL Stephan Zabie, Westlake (Texas) — Zabie, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound, four-star offensive tackle, visited UCLA last weekend shortly after receiving an offer. He followed that up with an in-state visit to Texas and is also considering Oklahoma.

Other positions:

  • LB Levi Jones, Westlake (Texas) — The four-star linebacker is deciding between Florida State, Florida, UCLA and USC. He visited UCLA last week.
  • RB Stephen Carr, Summit — The longtime USC commit also took a visit to Oregon this month, but the five-star running back doesn’t look to be coming off his Trojan pledge.
  • ATH Connor Weddington, Sumner (Wash.) (Updated Jan. 30: Wedington committed to Stanford) — A former Washington commit, Weddington reopened his recruitment when he received an offer from Stanford. Since the Cardinal were strong enough to shake the four-star recruit from his original commitment to his hometown school, it’s likely that they’re the front runner for his pledge come Signing Day.
  • LB Mohamed Sanogo, Plano West (Texas) — The four-star linebacker has his top three narrowed down to UCLA, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. He will announce his commitment on Signing Day. (Updated Jan. 29)
