Four-star WR Jahan Dotson commits to UCLA

Apparently UCLA’s 34-point comeback against Texas A&M made a big impact on four-star wide receiver Jahan Dotson.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect from Pennsylvania announced his commitment to UCLA on Monday, one day after he attended UCLA’s season-opening win at the Rose Bowl on an official visit. The 2018 receiver is the No. 2 recruit at his position in the East, according to Scout.com, and the top receiver in his state.

He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State.

Dotson is UCLA’s fourth commit at receiver for the 2018 class, joining CJ Parks (Mater Dei), Devon Cooley (St. John Bosco) and Kyle Phillips (San Marcos). All four are four-star recruits, according to Scout.com.

The Bruins have 23 known commits for this class, including 10 four-star prospects by Scout.com’s rankings. The group is the recruiting service’s second-best in the Pac-12 and 10th in the country.
