Head coach Jim Mora was named the Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week after UCLA completed a 34-point comeback against Texas A&M on Sunday.
“Coach Mora’s Bruins certainly made a comeback for the ages,” Jim Terry, the chairman of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation, said in a statement. “Week one of the college football season had some amazing coaching performances, but we felt that UCLA’s come-from-behind victory stood out from the rest of the pack.”
The Bruins went into halftime trailing by 28 and fell behind by 34 with 4:08 left in the third quarter before turning in five straight touchdown drives to notch the second-biggest comeback in NCAA history.
Quarterback Josh Rosen was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for his career-high 491 yards and four touchdowns during the victory.
