Former UCLA defensive lineman Manu Tuiasosopo has been elected to the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Tuiasosopo was a first-round draft pick out of UCLA in 1979 and spent five years with the Seattle Seahawks and three with the San Francisco 49ers, which included a Super Bowl victory in 1985.

As a Bruin, he was a two-time second-team All-American (1997 and 1978) and three-time first-team all-conference selection (1976, 1977 and 1978). He ranks 15th on UCLA’s career tackle list with 292, which is second all-time among defensive linemen, and 13th in career sacks with 17.

The Class of 2018 also includes former Oregon State offensive lineman Herman Clark, Super Bowl XLVII champion defensive tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu, defensive lineman Kimo von Oelhoffen, who won Super Bowl XL with the Steelers, and former Michigan State fullback Bob Apisa, the first Samoan to be named an All-American.

The group will be enshrined into the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame on Jan. 19 and 20, 2018 in Oahu, Hawaii.
