Josh Rosen will be back Saturday. Now who will be catching the junior’s passes?
Without Darren Andrews, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury against Utah, and Caleb Wilson, who has been out since Sept. 30, the Bruins are without 42.8 percent of their receiving yards and 42.2 percent of their receptions. Third-leading receiver Jordan Lasley‘s suspension has lasted three games and his status is uncertain for Saturday’s game against Arizona State.
The Bruins are digging into their bench to find healthy receivers now. They’re counting on Theo Howard and Christian Pabico to show more consistency throughout a full game. Eldridge Massington and Demetric Felton may see more time now. Head coach Jim Mora said Dymond Lee, a converted quarterback who has been serving on the scout team, is working his way into the receiver depth chart.
“D.A. was having a tremendous year so it’s unfair to ask one guy to step in and do it,” Mora said. “Hopefully there will be someone who steps into that position, but I think it’ll take more guys to fill that role.”
