Jedd Fisch expects Josh Rosen to play in the Cactus Bowl on Dec. 26, but the interim head coach said Monday the coaching and medical staffs are still assessing the star quarterback’s availability.
Rosen was injured late in the first half against Cal and missed the entire second half. He has since returned to practice and will take all the starter’s reps this wee. He still must get cleared for contact by the medical staff, Fisch said.
The Bruins returned to practice Monday after a nearly two-week break due to wildfires and finals. With about a little more than one week left until the bowl, Fisch is calling the final stretch of the season “Championship Week.”
More on UCLA’s bowl-game prep, Rosen and NFL paperwork for draft-eligible juniors.
