A few hours after Aaron Holiday was named to the midseason watch list for the John R. Wooden Award, the junior guard showed just why he made the cut as one of the top 25 players in the country.
The Campbell Hall High product had 20 points and six assists with 4-of-4 shooting from 3-point range in UCLA’s 83-64 win over Utah on Thursday at Pauley Pavilion as the Bruins (13-4, 4-1 Pac-12) stayed in first place in the Pac-12.
“There’s not very many, if any, that are better than him,” head coach Steve Alford said of Holiday.
