Even Colorado head coach Tad Boyle admitted his Buffaloes caught UCLA on “an off night” last Saturday when the Bruins shot a season-low 37.1 percent and scored a season-low 59 points in the loss.
What head coach Steve Alford called “worst offensive night” may turn out to be just a blip on the radar, but after suffering a key loss at home, the Bruins need to bounce back quickly on the road to correct the mistake.
“When you fail you either stop what you’re doing or you learn from your failures and you get a better opportunity for growth,” Alford said Tuesday before the Bruins face the Oregon schools this weekend, “and that’s what this team’s gotta do.”
UCLA’s road trip starts at Oregon State on Thursday at 8 p.m. The game will be on FS1 with radio on AM 570.
