Commits pour in while UCLA unveils Wasserman Football Center

UCLA hosted players, families and recruits Sunday in the new Wasserman Football Center and the new facilities immediately worked their recruiting magic.

At least three prospects committed to the Bruins on Sunday — four-star cornerback Olaijah Griffin, three-star linebacker Matthew Tago, three-star receiver CJ Parks — bringing UCLA’s 2018 recruiting class up to 20 commits.

Griffin, the son of rapper Warren G, also had offers from USC, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State and Cal. Scout.com has the Mission Viejo student ranked as the second-best cornerback in the West and the second-best in California.

Griffin is UCLA’s fifth defensive back for the 2018 class, joining safeties Cam’ron Jones, Stephan Blaylock and Dayven Coleman, and cornerback Ken Montgomery. He earned a coveted spot at The Opening finals this summer, competing for Team Alpha Menace.
