UCLA spring football day 9: Mossi Johnson carves out role on defense

Mossi Johnson has tried several times to switch to defensive back at UCLA, but his latest attempt may be the one that finally sticks as the rising senior hasn’t put on his blue offensive practice jersey since the second day of spring practice.

Coaches and players are excited about Johnson’s progression on the defensive side of the ball where he works at nickel and safety and brings his signature blend of toughness and positivity.
