New signal at 15th and Benson Ave. complete

| |
The new traffic signal at 15th Street and Benson Ave. in Upland is up and running.

The city council accepted the work and recorded the notice of completion during Monday's city council meeting.

The final construction cost was $155,890, which is within the initial authorized expenditure amount of $160,000.

The intersection has become more busy due to traffic from the 210 freeway. The construction project at the corner next to Greenbelt park is also expected to increase traffic once completed.

"At the end of the day it's all about safety," said Mayor John Pomierski. "That's what it's all about."
