Pepper Tree Elementary to utilize eScrip

| |

An online fundraising program has been rediscovered by a member of the Pepper Tree Elementary school parent-teacher association.

E-scrip is a fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of a person's grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school or organization of his or her choice.

Krista Rondomanski, PTA member, discovered the school had been signed up since 2000 and never promoted the program.

The school has over 780 students, but only 35 supporters had signed up with the program, Rondomanski said.

"The PTA sponsors and pays for so many activities at the school that are really taken for granted," Rondomanski said. "I really don't think that the public knows what the school pays for and what the PTA pays for. At Pepper Tree the PTA pays for the schools music program and art program and for assemblies. So the extra funds raised will just give our school a boost to be able to provide more to our students and community."
