UHS Health Career Pathway Program
Upland High School's Health Career Pathway Program was showcased during the Dec. 17 school board meeting.
Teachers, Sam Chiang, Greg Lander, Greg Peck and ROP staff member Susan Marie Sliney highlighted the program that began in August.
BioTech, Anatomy/Physiology, and technical writing for the medical field classes were presented by some of the students.
The school received a $100,000 grant to create a health career program for the students.
The program is still being modified, said Ben Rich, co-principal at Upland High School.
"We're looking to refine the curriculum and tighten it up and make it more focused," Rich said. "The classes we're originally used for the grant. Now we might see some need to look at it again and put emphasis in certain areas."
