Drive For Life program aimed to help teens deal with driving responsibility
The Upland Police Department and the Recreation and Community Services Division will hold the Drive For Life Teen Safety Program from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Gibson Senior Center, 250 N. Third Ave. in Upland.
Check-in is at 7:30 a.m.
Teens will be educated on the causes and prevention of traffic collisions.
The program brings traffic safety awareness to teen drivers through interactive lecture, guest speakers and multi-media presentations.
Students are expected to have a better understanding of the tremendous responsibility involved in driving an the consequences of poor decisions behind the wheel.
Topics covered include: drunk driving, speeding, street racing, seatbelts, traffic court and driving laws.
Parents are encouraged to attend.
Seating is limited to 50 participants.
