County allocates funds for Tour de Foothills

| |
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved a $1,000 allocation Tuesday to help the Upland Chamber of Commerce host the 5th Annual Tour de Foothills Saturday Nov. 14.

Tour de Foothills is a premier cycling event that offers riders a choice of two scenic and challenging courses - the Metric Century at 62 miles and Half Metric Century at 31 miles.

Both courses are from Rancho Cucamonga to Claremont. There are elevation gains, including a 2,800-foot climb on the Metric Century course.

The non-competitive event attracted about 850 riders last year.
