Foothill Family Shelter looking for Thanksgiving help

| | Comments (1) |
Foothill Family Shelter, 1501 W. 9th St. #D in Upland, is gearing up for Thanksgiving and they're looking for some help from the community.

They are looking for families and businesses to prepare Thanksgiving boxes and baskets for families in need. The boxes and baskets will go to their shelter clients, past clients and walk-in clients if there are enough donations.

Email Megan Nehamen at megan@foothillfamilyshelter.org by Oct. 23 and indicate how many boxes or baskets you will be providing.

What to include in the boxes and baskets:

1 gift certificate for a turkey ($10.00)
1 box stuffing
1 can of cranberry sauce
1 bag or box of potatoes
1 large can of candied yams
2 cans of french style green beans
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can fried onions
2 cans of corn
1 jar or can of turkey gravy
1 package of mini marshmallows
1 oven roasting pan
1 oven roasting bag (turkey size)
heavy duty dinner plates
napkins

We would be happy to provide two Thanksgiving baskets for the shelter. Please let us know the date and location to drop them off.
Also, is there a store preference for the turkey certificate.
