Halloween Scary-A-Faire coming to downtown

Trick-or-treaters can get their fill of candy and hang out with spooky creatures during the Halloween Scary-A-Faire in Downtown Upland.

The free event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31 in downtown Upland, 9th Street and 2nd Avenue.

There will be games and activities for the whole family as well as a pumpkin carving contest. Pumpkins are to be carved at home and brought in for judging.

There will be costume contests for ages zero to four years, five to 10 years and 11 years old and up.

There will be a separate category for families and groups.

The categories for each costume contest are: prettiest, scariest, funniest and most creative.

Awards will be given in each category.

Costume judging will be from 5:15 to 7:10 p.m. Winners will be announced around 7:30 p.m.

Food booths will be selling a variety of food, popcorn and drinks along with other vendors. 

Awards will also be rewarded for Best Game Booths and Most Creative Game Booths.
