Helping Out Pets Everyday awarded grant

Upland animal rescue non-profit, Helping Out Pets Everyday, has been awarded a $656.53 grant from the PEDIGREE Foundation to continue their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and save shelter dogs that need their help.

Margaret Coffman, President of Helping Out Pets Everyday, submitted the grant proposal early this year in hopes of being considered.

"Our organization continues to rescue and save so many worthy dogs every year," Coffman said in a news release. "We raise funding through various fund raisers throughout the year in order to help cover the expenses involved with medically caring for so many. This grant funding will help us to provide even more deserving dogs with the medical care they require before being placed in their forever homes."

The PEDIGREE brand established the PEDIGREE Foundation in 2008 to provide grants to dog rescue organizations throughout the country. The Foundation collects funds raised through consumer donations and receives contributions from PEDIGREE Brand every time consumers purchase a PEDIGREE branded product.
