New audiovisual club at Upland Public Library

| |

The Upland Public Library, 450 N. Euclid Ave., recently announced a new audiovisual club to save the community money on their entertainment budget.

The new program went into effect Monday.

The "AV Club" membership rate is $25 and allows patrons to rent audiovisual materials including audiobooks, music CDs and movies for a year at no extra cost.

Loan periods, loan limits by media format and other library fines and fees, such as overdue fines, still apply.

When the AV Club membership expires after 12 months the patron may choose to renew at the membership rate or return to regular borrowing privileges.

Patrons who do not join the AV Club can still rent audiovisual items at their current fee rates: $2 for unabridged audiobooks for three weeks, $1 for juvenile abridged audiobooks for three weeks, $2 for videos/DVDs for one week and $1 for music CDs for three weeks.

Access to the library's downloadable books is currently free to all patrons with valid library cards in good standing, but they must register as AV Club members by March 15 for continued access to the downloadable digital book collections.

Patrons who are blind or visually challenged may apply for waived audiovisual rental fees.

For more information call the Principal Librarian Maria Sunio at 909-931-4296.
