Upland Girl Scout Troop holding yard sale Saturday

| |
Girl Scout Brownie Troop 12004 out of Valencia Elementary School in Upland are feeling the crunch of the economy along with many other people.

The troop, made up of second graders, is trying to raise more than $3,000 to attend their first sleepover event as a troop at Sea World in May.

The 13 girls in the troop have decided to collectively search drawers, closets, cupboards, toy boxes and garages for gently used items to sell at a yard sale at 7 a.m. Saturday at 2279 N. Euclid Ave., Upland.

They will hold a bake sale for the garage sale goers and take orders for girl scout cookies.
