Upland girl scout collecting items for charity throughout month

| |

Kathy Baker, a senior girl scout and a junior at Upland High School, will be collecting diapers and non-perishable food items for Foothill Family Shelter outside of various grocery stores throughout February.

Baker is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award Project and hopes to increase awareness about the community's homeless situation.

Foothill Family Shelter is an Upland-based non-profit that helps homeless families.

Baker will be collecting items at Vons, 81 W. Foothill Blvd., from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, from 12 to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 and from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 19.

She will be outside of Albertsons, 1028 N. Mountain. Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12.
