Team climbing Mt. Baldy for Cure Duchenne

| |

A Newport Beach resident will be taking a team of moms with her to the top of Mt. Baldy on June 19.

Mindy Cameron and her team will be hiking for Cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a Newport Beach-based non-profit that helps raise money for medical research.

Cameron's 8 year-old son, Christopher, was diagnosed with Duchenne when he was a baby. Duchenne causes the muscles to swell and restricts joints.

The Mt. Baldy Chamber of Commerce has donated 500 lift tickets for the team to sell in order to raise money.

The climbers will assemble between 8 and 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot. The hike should be completed around 2:30 p.m.
