The Upland Host Lions will be hosting their 56th annual Fish Bake and Corn Feed on August 6 in Memorial Park, 1100 E. Foothill Blvd.

The club will be cooking up fish, corn-on-the-cob, steak, corn dogs, cole slaw and rolls.

All donations will be used to support the community and charities including local schools, the little league, the scouts, the blind and local kids whose famillies cannot afford eye exams and glasses.

People who cannot attend but still wish to make a donation can be a sponsor. Donations can be sent to 2131 Albright, Upland.

The club meets at 7:30 a.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at Cocos Restaurant, 60 W. Foothill Blvd.

The Lions Club has been serving the community since 1917, from ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas to bringing the gift of sight to the blind.

Old eyeglasses can also be donated to the club at the yellow mail box in the parking lot of City Hall, 460 N. Euclid Ave.
