UHS regiment on CBS Ch. 2

| | Comments (1) |
The Upland Highland Regiment was briefly showcased on CBS Channel 2 today.

The band and color guard have been working to raise money to help get them to the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1 and CBS noticed.

However, there are some inaccuracies in the broadcast. The raffle is Sunday at 2 p.m. and the Mini Cooper they are raffling off was not donated.

But it's not too late to purchase tickets.

The students will be selling tickets for $25 a piece outside the band room at Upland High School, 565 W. 11th Street from 7 to 9 p.m.

The raffle will be at the Mini of Ontario dealership, 1251 Auto Center Dr.

Other prizes include $2,500 in cash and a 42-inch flat screen television.

Even with the raffle tickets they are still in need of funds.

The Regiment has grown by a full bus size this year which is adding to their already tight transportation costs.

They will need to raise at least $40,000 to help get them to the Parade.

There is also a need for new uniforms.

To donate visit www.uhrb.org and click the on Rose Parade links. Donations can also be mailed to UHRB at P.O. Box 271 Upland 91785.
