Otie Braden made a unique discovery in San Antonio Canyon 15 years ago.

Equipped with a metal detector, Braden of Upland, found a 1981 Upland High School class ring buried about 6 inches deep in the stream.

The ring has the initials "B.B.B" engraved, so he began looking for the possible owner.

Having found no one with those initials in the 1981 year book, he set the ring aside.

He recently attempted to find the possible owner again.

After looking through the 1978 class of freshman, he found a Bessie Bishop, whom he believes to be the ring's rightful owner.

He is trying to get in contact with Bishop or someone who knows her so he can return the ring.

He can be contacted at 909-981-1757 or otieaco@hotmail.com
